Landon's Journey of Strength and Hope

Landon is a B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia survivor who has shown incredible strength and determination throughout his journey. After facing a difficult diagnosis and 2 1/2 years of treatment, Landon rang the bell in May 2023. Today, he continues to inspire others with his hard work, positive attitude, and love of Pokémon cards.

Landon is a B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia survivor whose journey has been filled with challenges, courage, and incredible determination. His story began in March of 2021 when he went to the emergency room because of severe back pain. What his family thought might be a painful but temporary problem turned into news that would change their lives.

After many hours in the emergency room, Landon was admitted to the Hematology and Oncology floor. The following day, an MRI revealed that leukemia was invading the bone marrow in his spine and had caused compressed fractures throughout his spine. It was an incredibly difficult beginning to a journey that would require tremendous strength from Landon and his family.

Landon went on to receive 2 1/2 years of treatment that included nine different chemotherapy medications. Through countless appointments, treatments, difficult days, and everything that came with his cancer journey, Landon continued to push forward.

In May of 2023, Landon reached a milestone that his family had been waiting and hoping for. He rang the bell to celebrate the completion of his treatment. That bell represented years of hard work, perseverance, and courage. It was a moment that deserved to be celebrated.

Unfortunately, finishing treatment did not mean that the journey was completely over. Shortly after ringing the bell, Landon began experiencing some of the lasting side effects from his treatment. Even with these challenges, he continues to amaze the people around him with his hard work and positive attitude.

Landon has been dealt some incredibly difficult cards, but he continues to show what it means to keep moving forward. His strength is not only found in what he has overcome, but also in the attitude he carries with him every day.

In the photo, you can see Landon's eyes light up as he enjoys the Pokémon cards sent to him by Jayden'sCards4Cancer. Seeing that excitement is exactly why moments like this matter. A few packs of cards can bring a smile, create a happy distraction, and give a child or survivor something fun to look forward to.

We are so thankful that Jayden'sCards4Cancer could bring Landon a little bit of extra joy. We hope the cards give him many fun moments and memories to enjoy.

Please continue to keep Landon and his family in your prayers. Pray for continued strength, healing, and encouragement as Landon continues moving forward. His journey is a reminder of just how strong and resilient young people can be.

Landon, keep working hard, keep that positive attitude, and keep letting that light shine. We are so proud of you and grateful to be a small part of your story.
